As a key component for numerous Series 90-30 PLC systems, this baseplate is not universally compatible with all components in the Series 90-30 product line. For instance, it cannot accommodate Series 90-30 PCM and CCM devices. It also lacks advanced features such as a battery-backed clock, interrupt functionality, and override capabilities.

That said, the IC693CPU311 retains a robust set of core functions, including shift register support, 170 built-in timers or counters, and an integrated serial port (housed within the PLC’s power supply module and compatible with SNP slave and SNP-X slave protocols).
